Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using Plan2Table ("the Service," "we," "us," or "our"), operated by Shepridge LLC, you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provisions of this agreement ("Terms"). If you do not agree to abide by these Terms, please do not use this Service.

By using the Service, you represent that you are at least 18 years old or have received parental consent to use the Service if you are between 13 and 18 years old.

2. Description of Service

Plan2Table is a meal planning and recipe management service designed for families. The Service includes:

  • Recipe discovery and curation
  • Meal planning tools
  • Family collaboration features
  • Shopping list generation
  • Integration with third-party services (e.g., Instacart)
  • Recipe saving from external websites

3. User Accounts

To use certain features of the Service, you may be required to create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information
  • Maintain and update your account information
  • Maintain the security of your password and account
  • Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Infringe on the rights of others
  • Distribute malicious software or harmful content
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service
  • Use automated systems to access the Service without permission

5. Content and Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of recipes and content you upload to Plan2Table. By uploading content, you grant us a license to:

  • Store, process, and display your content through the Service
  • Share your content with family members you designate
  • Use your content to provide and improve our services

You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload any content you share.

6. Third-Party Services

Plan2Table may integrate with third-party services such as Instacart for grocery delivery. Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the actions or policies of third-party services.

7. Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy, which also governs your use of the Service, to understand our practices.

8. Payment and Subscription

Some features of Plan2Table may require a paid subscription. Payment terms, pricing, and billing cycles will be clearly disclosed before purchase. All fees are non-refundable unless otherwise specified.

9. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service immediately, without prior notice, for any reason, including but not limited to:

  • Breach of these Terms
  • Changes to third-party API terms or pricing that make service operation infeasible
  • Legal or regulatory requirements
  • Discontinuation or unavailability of third-party services
  • Business reasons or at our sole discretion

We reserve the right to discontinue the Service entirely, with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease, and we may delete your account data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and third-party obligations.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Plan2Table shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:

  • Loss of profits, data, meal plans, recipes, or use of the Service
  • Service interruptions or termination due to third-party API changes, price increases, or terms modifications
  • Deletion of data required by third-party service providers
  • Changes or removal of features due to API unavailability or pricing changes
  • Any damages arising from third-party services including but not limited to Spoonacular, RapidAPI, or Instacart
  • Inaccurate recipe, nutritional, or product information from third-party sources

In no event shall our total liability exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to liability, or $100, whichever is less.

12. Third-Party Data Services and API Dependencies

Plan2Table relies on third-party services for recipe data, nutritional information, and other features:

Data Sources

  • Recipe data provided through RapidAPI and Spoonacular API
  • Nutritional information from third-party databases
  • Shopping integration through Instacart API

Important Disclaimers

  • We do not control third-party services and cannot guarantee their continued availability
  • If a third-party service discontinues, changes terms, or becomes unavailable, we may be required to remove associated data and features
  • Recipe and nutritional data accuracy depends on third-party providers
  • We are not liable for errors, omissions, or changes in third-party data
  • Service interruptions or feature removal due to third-party changes are outside our control

Data Deletion and Retention

  • If required by third-party API terms (including Spoonacular, RapidAPI, or other providers) or legal obligations, we must immediately delete all affected recipe data, meal plans, nutritional information, or other third-party content, with or without prior notice
  • We are legally obligated to comply with data deletion requirements from our API providers
  • In the event of service discontinuation or API changes, we may be required to permanently delete all third-party sourced data from our systems
  • We strongly recommend regularly exporting your custom meal plans and recipes to maintain your own backup
  • User-created content (notes, custom recipes) may be retained separately from third-party data, subject to our Privacy Policy

13. Service Limitations

No Guarantee of Continuous Service

  • The App depends on multiple third-party APIs and services
  • Features may become unavailable due to API limitations, rate limits, or service changes
  • We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature at any time

Recipe and Nutritional Accuracy

  • Recipe instructions and ingredients are provided "as is" from various sources
  • Nutritional information is estimated and may not be accurate for all products
  • Always verify recipe instructions and nutritional content before use
  • We are not responsible for recipe results, food allergies, or dietary outcomes

14. Third-Party Integrations

Instacart Integration

  • Shopping list integration with Instacart is provided as a convenience
  • We do not control Instacart's product availability, pricing, or delivery
  • Ingredient matching may not be perfect; review your cart before checkout
  • Instacart's terms and privacy policy apply to their services

No Warranty

  • We do not endorse or guarantee any products, retailers, or services accessed through integrations
  • You are responsible for reviewing all orders and purchases

15. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes via email or through the Service. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

16. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Connecticut, United States of America, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

You agree that any legal action or proceeding relating to these Terms or your use of the Service shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Fairfield County, Connecticut, and you hereby consent to the personal jurisdiction and venue of such courts.
